Hyperhydrosis

WHAT IS HYPERHIDROSIS?

Hyperhidrosis typically affects; the scalp, the armpits, the feet and hands, and the groin area. These areas are most affected as there are more sweat glands present compared to other areas of the body. In Generalised hyperhidrosis, the whole body is affected by excessive sweating. In focal hyperhidrosis the excessive sweating affects only certain areas like the hands and feet.

Some people suffer with hyperhidrosis from birth, and others find that it develops at a later stage. Commonly, excessive sweating will start to affect people in the adolescent stage of life. This condition is sometimes caused by a medical problem, or there may be no known cause.

In primary focal hyperhidrosis certain areas are affected but the cause is unknown. In secondary hyperhidrosis, the excessive sweating is caused by a medical condition, such as hyperthyroidism, a tumor, gout, obesity, diabetes, or menopause.

How can we help?

HOW DOES (RF) MICRO-NEEDLING WORK?

The Fractional Micro needling RF delivers three-layer therapy to predetermined problem zones. The RF energy heats and deactivates the sweat glands targeting the root cause of hyperhydrosis.. we will also be causing constriction and tightening of the skin, as well as the stimulation of collagen and elastin production at deeper layers of the skin. The gold plated insulated needles provide extreme precise delivery of the radio frequency inducing less damage to the skin.

Treatment levels are adjusted as needed to ensure an optimal outcome with minimal discomfort. Because the RF energy is delivered so deeply, it can produce faster results that are more dramatic.

How many treatments are recommended?

Typically a course of 2-4 treatments spaced once a month are needed.

Side effects/ down time

Side effects are generally mild, and include bruising lasting for about a week in most cases, slight edema, and redness, and mild to moderate soreness that last for about 3 to 5 days but does not affect sleep or normal activities.

How long does treatment take?

Around 15-30 minutes.

How long does it take to see results from Microneedling?

Some clients feel a difference in the elasticity of their skin in as little as 24 hours. However, the long-lasting results will be seen between 4-6 weeks post-treatment as this is the time frame in which it takes the body to produce new healthy collagen and elastin.
Can Radiofrequency Microneedling (RFM) be used on all patients of all ages?

Patients with laxity concerns can benefit from the dual effect of the Microneedling with Radiofrequency. As the Focus Dual offers many different needle depths and intensity settings for the RF, treatments can be easily customised to every different skin.

Younger skins who do not yet require lifting and tightening can benefit from Microneedling without the RF to focus on refining pores, evening out texture, and improving overall quality.

How does a HIFU facial treatment work?

This non-surgical facelift works on the SMAS layer deep below the skin, which is the area surgeons tighten for face and neck lifts. Rather than surgery, the Focus Dual harnesses ultrasound technology to radiate energy to the SMAS layer to tighten, lift and plump the skin.
How does Radiofrequency Microneedling (RFM) compare to Injectables such as HA Fillers?

Radiofrequency Microneedle (RFM) is a great treatment to combine with Injectables to give you all-over fantastic skin quality.

Following an RFM treatment, your skin will gradually smooth out, improve in quality, and tighten. Fresh new collagen and elastin is produced, adding nothing artificial.

Patients love how natural their skin looks as the results get better and better over time.

How does Radiofrequency Microneedling work?

Ultrafine needles penetrate the skin at different depths and release radiofrequency energy to heat the skin in a controlled manner, stimulating a wound healing response leading to the production of collagen and elastin.

How many HIFU sessions are needed?

Treatments are carried out every 4-6 weeks and typically between 1 and 3 treatments are recommended for best results. Top-up sessions are performed as required, but usually only once or twice a year.

Is there any downtime with a Focus Dual HIFU treatment?

Due to the non-invasive nature of HIFU treatments, there is virtually no downtime. You may experience slight redness following the treatment, and a small percentage of our clients do experience minor swelling, tingling, or tenderness.

These symptoms are mild and temporary. You will be able to return to normal activities straight away, and there are no special recovery measures needed. This is why HIFU has earned the name “lunchtime facelift”.

What are the benefits of combining RF with Microneedling?

We have observed much quicker treatment results combining both RF and Microneedling compared to one technology alone depending on the device used. In cases such as severe acne results can be achieved in half the time versus standalone technologies, increasing patient satisfaction dramatically.

When will you see results following a Focus Dual treatment?

Results can be seen immediately, and the results get better and better up to 12 weeks post-treatment as your collagen is renewed.

Results to last 1-2 years however, this can be dependent on lifestyle and maintenance.
